Clarifiers & Maintenance - Algicides
Algae, tiny green plants, can in the mildest form spoil the appearance of the pool and in the worst case prevent the pool from being used. The most efficient method of preventing a build up of algae in your swimming pool is to use a specifically developed algicide.

  • Used to prevent a build up of algae in your swimming pool

    Dosing Rate
    Initial dose of 200ml to 100 cubic metres followed by 60ml per 100 cubic metres per week.

    Chlorine will, in most instances kill algae but should the chlorine level be too low or the water out of balance, a build up of algae can occur. To prevent such a build up, it must be ensured that there is sufficient chlorine in the pool and that the water in the pool is balanced. To reinforce this action it is recommended that a long life algicide be added to the pool at the time of opening, with a small amount of algicide added throughout the season to combat the threat.

    Dosing Rate
    2 litres will treat 12000 gallons (54,552 litres) of swimming pool water for 3 - 6 months.
