Champion Water Hardener (Calcium Chloride)
Total calcium 'hardness' is the measure of the total amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium in the water.
If the water is calcium deficient (not enough calcium is dissolved), damage will occur to the concrete and grouting around the pool - the water will extract the calcium from any available source.
Should the water have a calcium surplus (too much calcium is dissolved), the calcium can form small crystals which will turn the water cloudy and form as scale on surfaces and pool equipment.- Available in 5kg packs or 25kg buckets
Dosing Rate Please follow supplied instructions to perform a simple test on your water and work out the correct calcium dosing rateTo raise by 10ppm use 2.5lbs per 10,000 gallonsOptimum calcium hardness levels are between 175ppm - 1000 ppm
