Stabilisers are added to the chlorine solution used in the treatment of your swimming pool water to ensure that the optimum level of free chlorine is maintained.
Sunlight, in the form of Ultra-violet rays, attack the free chlorine in the water, rendering it useless. Adding a stabiliser to the water will help to prevent the deterioration occurring and is completely colourless and tasteless.
Dosing Rate
To raise by 10ppm use 3lbs per 10,000 gallons
The optimum stabiliser level of the water should be 130-160ppm.
